Happy Thanksgiving, girls! I’m going ot be away form the comptuer that day–am not event taking laptop–so no typed words for me. But I think I’ll get in 1-2 hand-written pages minimum.
For the past week, I have been averaging an hour a day, but in that hour, I have put 1500 words on the page each day. I’m astounding myself with my sudden surge in productivity. I hope I can keep it going when Christmas pressures mount up.
After finishing NaNoWriMo - I’m still working toward the climax of the story… On 54k now… got about 750 done today. This stay at home mama stuff really cuts into my writing time!
During the week I came to the concusion that my WIP needed an overhaul. I trashed the 13,000 words I had and I am starting fresh. I feel stronger and now that I have gone back and reworked my plot, I actualy have soemthing that I want to write. I love that I know the middle and ending.
Okay, here’s what we need to do: a Writer or Die challenge. Wordwar. We all write for X amount of time, at the SAME time. It cane be short-10 minutes. I got 4 pages written in 15 minutes the other day, using Writer or Die. It’s not all pretty, but it sure does jump-start you. Anyone up? A pre-Christmas event?
Hi mamas, I have spent the last two weeks reworking my WIP notebook and i love the results. I finished my first 11 pages in one day!! For me that is huge*grin*!!
Warm Wishes and Merry Christmas to you all…
We should do a New Years thing–to jump-start thigns, & maybe surprise ourselves by what we’re actually capable of. Maybe Jan 1, or 2? Some morning (accounting for timezones)… we can plan, then maybe tweet when we’re ready to go? Is everyone following our MamaWriters blog twitter acct? Or me? (KrisKennedy)
Okay, to do WordWar, folks need ot have the Write or Die software in their comptuer, rather than doing it online. Are people interested in doing that? It’s $10. You can check out the website: http://writeordie.drwicked.com/ Let me know what you all think.
I haven’t posted in forever, but I am working on my second MS…3000 words into it and I couldn’t have done it without my WIP Notebook!!!! Thanks Jeannie!!!!!;-)

Hmm, I keep typing ‘Writer or Die” but it’s Write or Die.” That’s kinda scary…
That sounds like a wonderful idea, Kris. When?
I think it’s a great idea, Kris! During the day works best for me.
