This post has a logical purpose — to let you all know that we’ll be doing some maintenance over the weekend, during which time, MamaWriters site will be down for a while.  We’ll come back with a new server, a slightly updated look and ready to party! :)   So be sure to come back on Monday to check out the new outfit. :)

But on a pure girly front, I couldn’t help thinking of all the efforts we’re putting into updating the blog and wondered about how often we give ourselves the same kind of “freshening up” maintenance?  Now, as mama writers with children, leaving it all behind for a weekend of “maintenance work” (which I read as massages, pedi/mani’s, and margaritas… ) isn’t exactly an easy thing to do.  And yet, a full weekend aside, there are ways that we need to remember to refresh ourselves.   No matter how superficial it might seem, the fact remains — we feel pretty when we think we LOOK pretty.  So as MamaWriters gets her mani/pedi’s this weekend, I challenge you to do at least one thing this weekend that refreshes you… and then come back here and tell us all about it!
