Thank you all so much for your comments! I'm sorry it took me so long to write back.... We got inundated with 3 feet of snow on Friday and Saturday! I spent a lot of time outside playing and shoveling :) Hope you all had a safe and happy weekend!

Hi Eliza!

What an awesome pic of your girls! You did a fabulous job on the post. Sheesh! I'm so glad to see you have your crazy days, too. I always feel like I'm in a circus. Some days I'm the graceful tight rope walker, other days I belong in the side show! LOL

Thanks for helping to put it all in perspective. :)

Now, for your drink . . . if I roll back my not-so-stellar memory- isn't your favorite drink a Frappachino? Ha! I know it's my favoirte! As soon as my gallbladder issues are settled, I'm having TWO carmel frappachinos with extra whipped cream and carmel!!! Boo-Yah! lol

Eliza~
You are, as you know, my heroine. Your girls are gorgeous, like you, and you handle everything with such good energy. I tend to grumble a bit more than you. LOL

Mary,
Oh, wow, what a tough and loving job you have, taking care of mom as she becomes less lucid. Hugs to you and her.

It takes a superwoman as far as I am concerned, to work as a housewife and write too!
What a job!

LOL, Eliza! Your days sound close to mine. No, I don't have children, but Mom has officially entered her second childhood. She's taken such good care of me all my life, so I'm determined to keep her with me as long as possible. Consequently, I'm pulled in a jillion directions too. Like you, I treasure the moments (especially the lucid ones that for her are fewer and fewer).
I set my goals, sometimes I don't reach them, but I remember there is always tomorrow and try not to beat myself up. Somehow, the crazy weather has pushed the crime rate up, so the forensic cases I'm profiling are through the roof. I don't ususally do more than three in a week, and that's a lot. Lately, I've had more. But life does go on. It's sometimes important to remember to live it, enjoying the moments we're offered, and not just go through the motions. So your post is a good reminder.
As to your favorite drink at Starbucks, I only know it's a gigantore-mega-mocha-make-my-butt-bigger-please specialty drink...lol. I'm addicted to tab and I've never been to a Starbucks.

LOL, enjoyed your post. While my youngest daughter was still in the early years of high school, I became a grandmother, and then my sister and her three young daughters came to live with us. She has now moved a mile up the road but is still in need of frequent help. More precious grandbabies arrive every year and all live close by. My point being, that small people have always been a central part of my life. Not as intensely as when I had the children all to myself, but still a major consideration. I'm currently snowed in with several of them, plus a hyper granddog. I began writing novels when my youngest daughter was six and somehow have tenaciously persevered. You have my sympathies, Eliza, and I'm here to tell you that it will get easier but possibly not a lot. :) I'm vastly impressed by all that you do manage to accomplish.
