Bus arrives ~8:00 but dog walk + breakfast = not at computer until 8:30. Bus drop off at ~ 3pm is actually leaving the computer to put shoes on and walk down the hill at 2:52. Effective work time sliced from seven hours to 6 hours ish minus lunch. Of the 4.5-5 hours left...I get a solid 3 hours of uninterrupted (most of the time) editing and/or writing. That's half. Where does the other half go?! E-mail read/respond, yahoogroups list checking, Facebook, SYTYCD, blogs, household errands (faster without the kid...really). We always set out with the idea of being as efficient with each day as possible...
