And I'm sure there's tiers to it, like yours, but I fear I don't adhere to them. I'm a 'grab for what's closest" kida gal, whenever possible. So, if it's 'closer' to clean the bathroom and thereby stay home, b/c my son is tired, and cajoling him into a grocery store trip would involve tears and great sadness, then clean I will, even though we might be eating pine nuts and olives for dinner. LOL As far as Christmas, I love your list! And the village. This year, my husband & son did the village, and surprised me with it. My son was SO excited. Perhaps some delegation is in order at the Ludwig castle . . . :-) And btw, I LOVED your opening to the blog entry. Very evocative of the scene. I felt the coldness, the striking wintery bleakness. I’m a big fan of lists and always have one or two taped up. With having my daughter in pre-k and my son in speech therapy at two different places, my day planner has become my best friend!

I’m done with my Christmas shopping- yes!- but now have to bake cookies and other yummy things for 20 goody bags. Luckily, my mom is going to take my kiddos overnight, so I can get a jump on things.
