Romance writing is an art. It’s crafty, creative and full of imagination. Most writers are creative in other ways, with music, jewelry making, fashion, cooking, gardening, theater, etc…
Are you?
I grew up playing the piano and various other instruments. I wrote stories and drew pictures winning some awards. As a teenager I got into drama, acting at various stages and even workng as an extra in a movie (Deep Impact — remember that one? Comet plummeting to the Earth… I almost died of laughter at nationals when an author was shouting out movies with certain plots and that was one she mentioned.)
My point is, we are a crafty and creative bunch and those creative juices need to be stewed, stroked and coddled. If we don’t creat in some way we might feel strangled, bored.
I bet you even have a way of folding towels, or setting things just so that gives you that different edge than those less crafty than you.
Have you passed it on to your kids? Both of my girls have a flare for drama, drawing, music, dancing, etc… maybe you can see it in their pic above. I know they get it from me, because my hubby is more math, computers, and technical and I have to say I’m proud. I’ve always thought imagination was the way to the soul.
So come on and share! What is artsy about you?

My Newest Release! A Victorian-era Romance E-Novella
After the death of her parents, Miss Lillian Whitmore travels to London to live with her aunt and uncle, the Duke and Duchess of Suffolk. Sick with grief, guilt and loneliness, and shunned by her aunt and cousins, Lillian is constantly reminded of her ignorance of society customs. Forced to find a husband, she encounters two men who vie for her affections–handsome, poised Lord Dominick Wade and the sensuous rake, Sir Trenton–but the skeletons in Lillian’s closet keep her from making a choice.
Expectations are high for Lord Dominick Wade to marry a woman of social stature, but the American beauty has literally wreaked havoc with his senses. Lillian is everything Dominick wants in a companion, lover and wife. Even more rankling is his competition, Sir Trenton, and the influence he holds over her.
Fate will decide this season which love will wither…and which will bloom.
